The Morgan State University cheerleading team has historically consisted of approximately 35-40 female athletes. Cheerleaders cheer at all home football games, select away football games (including post-season), and men’s and women’s basketball games (including post-season). All members are required to attend the National Cheerleading Association (NCA) College Camp at the beginning of the season. Members will also have the opportunity to be selected for the competitive team, which competes annually at NCA College Nationals in Daytona, Florida.

 

Minimum tumbling reqirements are toe-touch-back handspring and a pass with 3 or more back handsprings. Preferred tumbling requirements are toe touch tucks and passes with tucks or higher.

There is a required $950 annual participation fee if selected to the team.  This includes the cost of camp.  No other financial requests will be made from team members throughout the season.
